This is a simple 18 inch baby blanket that can be used for a doll.
I love the way the yarn worked up. If it is knitted it works into stripes but using the crochet pattern it worked up in patches that look interesting.
The pattern is simple and works up fast.
I used an odd number of chains.
The instruction below are in US TERMS
In the second chain from the hook *SC and DC in the same stitch Skip 1 stitch rep from * across ending with a SC in the last stitch.
Ch1 turn
SC and DC in first stitch
* Skip 1 stitch, SC and DC in next stitch repeat from * across ending Skip 1 stich and SC in last stitch.
Do this until the blanket is a big as you want.
This creates a lovely blanket that does not have holes in to so would be nice for Preemie blanket as well.
