Time capsule Wish List

I belong to Jennibellie's Journal Workshop. A lovely site that has a lot to offer. I am enjoying the Monthly Challenge Group. Each month we have a different challenge and they really stretch the imagination.

Jennibellie's Journal Workshop

I have enjoyed making the various items and trying out new skills.

The Challenge for May was to make a Time Capsule Wish List.

I wanted the paper to be cheerful and have a positive vibe to it.

After folding the paper to fit the tin I had chosen I added images and messages to it.

Next came the actual Wish List that I want to achieve.

By adding images I have added to the positivity of the messages.

The tin was on one I had left over from a batch I bought a while back.

I added a paper cover that wraps around the book and sealed it with washi tape. The tin has stickers I liked on the lid. I made a simple tag with a clock on it and Open 2025. I used yarn to wrap around the tin, the tag is glued to to the yarn.
This was a fun project and something a little different.

New Projects

Summer is around the corner and I have all sorts of plans this year.

I want easy projects that will be of interest and helpful to others.

KNITTING and CROCHET

Baby Blankets for the Premature Baby Unit.

These will be white, no lacey patterns as tiny fingers can get trapped in the holes.

Animal Blankets.

The will be mainly Crochet Granny Squares as a break from knitting. I have lots of colours to use up so these will be bright and cheerful.

Journaling.

I will be using my Bullet Journal and creating a new journal for summer.

This year the team I am with on Discord is creating a Middle Earth team that will help us all get back into shape and provide fun along the way.

Paper crafts

I love this site Journal Workshops

Jennibellie has lots of journal ideas and art ideas as well. So I will be experimenting with these as well.

As you can see I have lots to keep me occupied.

My Shawls

I love to make shawls and these are for me.

I wanted a shawl to cover my shoulders whilst sitting in the garden and this is perfect. It is small and I can close it at the front with a shawl pin.

This is a lovely pattern that I adapted. It is meant to have three sections but I chose to go with the flower section only with the border on each side.

It is white and I use it for sitting in the garden and moongazing.
You can find the pattern plus a host of beautiful projects here

I love the patterns and find them easy to follow. Being a beginner in crochet, I still have loads to learn, I like patterns that are simple and yet make beautiful items.

New Projects

Cat Blankets are top of the list. I prefer to crochet because it tends to be faster and there's only one stitch to secure, which is a b...
