Blankets for Dog Charity

These blankets are for a charity that rescues dogs.

All are waiting for collection and will provide warmth and comfort to dogs that need it.

2023 Projects

Today is last day of January and it has been a mixed month.

Lots of things needed doing and a lot of problems addressed at home and with health issues with my husband.

Most are resolved and some have meant changes to routines and learning to deal with new issues.

My projects for 2023 will be centered around arts and crafts. Crochet is slowly taking over form knitting as it is easier to put down and pick up again as there is only one stitch to worry about.

Blankets for various animal shelters are still on the books to be made. Preemie blankets will also be part of my plans for the local hospital.

I have found various easy washcloth patterns that will be useful to make into blankets. Using acrylic yarn instead of cotton yarn means I can make them in the warmer weather. Then as the weather gets colder again I will join them together to create colourful blankets.

Other projects will be centered around art. Not my strongest point but it is fun to do.  My Bullet Journal helps me find ways to achieve some of this as I like to decorate my pages.

These are ideas I gleaned from various places and used them adding my own bits to them.

Making cards to plan the coming week is fun as I can decorate them This is an idea from Jennibellie
she has a lot of interesting projects and they are all fun to do.

Eventually there will be one card for every week of the year all held in this book.
It is going to be fun making my projects and as long as my stash lasts I will be able to make things. Then again running out of yarn means I stock up again.

Sales are brilliant for adding to your stash so I keep a look out for them. Sometimes you get a nice amount with the end of a range of yarns or colours.

That reminds me I must get more yarn for the Temperature blanket I am making this year.

New Projects
